Carrying the dead

I crawl amongst the earths back,
Sluggishly moving forward while
So many creatures besides me are
Gliding
Flying
They are not weighted down the way I am.
They are not trying to move through life
Carrying their dead,
They are not chained by the weight of the past,
Suffocating

– Freedom

Nature

Sun yearns for my soul
Rains of sand kiss my starving skin
The wind howls back to me as
Sea mist accompanies my tears.

Nature aspires to be its true self
Natures makes love to me.
Nature answers my prayers.
Nature comforts my woes.

Some Kind of Wonderful

Summer –
Some kind of wonderful

Pale blue skies
Marry deep blue seas
Imperfection filled
White sand beach
Mirrors my skin

The warm embrace
Of sun pouring into world
Alchemizes the death of winter
Into gold animated with life

Some kind of wonderful –
Summer

Beauty – Meant to be Shared

What is it to live without blooming?
What is it to love without opening?
It is the natural course of things to do so –
To bloom, to open.
It takes a considerable amount of effort
To stay (trapped) a bud,
Protecting and keeping your beauty hidden.
It was meant to be shared
